Re: [LFSNZ]WORLD SERIES Discussion - ROUND 7 Tommorrow!!!

Post by KR0NIK »

hey
back in the simulator 2nite
have had a bit of a holiday from it and set up another tripple head on a desk with a g25
mainly for single seater padel shifts but never changed back for the tin top manuals
done ten mins setup last night and had sore legs and missed shifts a plenty
forgot how heavy the clutch and brake were and how big my steering wheel feels
still 720 rotation but have to run 130/140 forcefb in xrt ...and g25 hasnt seemed like giving up yet
so expect to be alittle off pace(more so than usual lol)

was last event first race run in force cockpit view & no race line? or was that a glich at my end?
bit of warning next time as i use a custom view and cockpit view was a little different .if this wasnt a glich then i quite liked it. just a bit of warning next time

bring on the drivethro penaltys :)
a driver that resets should always finish behind the last driver that hasnt reset... my thoughts of course

c ya 2nite

Oh man 1 point in it. Im gunna have to get my qualy better to try and get some poles to keep in front on points. Loved the other nights races charging hard at the end of races 1 and two to try and catch 4aged but im too slow in the first part of the race. I think everyone is getting a fair bit better in this series making everyone push harder causing mistakes like chris the other night coulda been up front had it not been for some touches with the wall. Really hope im able to keep racing the last half of series cause in a few weeks my timetable for school changes and i dont wanna miss out when its starting to become such a great series. Good to see the RB4 on top finally too :D

hehe steala, I actually didn't notice the FCV was on lol. I just throught Kronik was saying he had decided to race with no line tonight.

yea pretty tight series, top 4 real close. i think when we do afew longer races you will do well again wild, The pace is pretty quick in that first part of the race, no so good for tyre wear lol.

Also FE1 next round so thinking of afew minor changes.
- less points per round as its like 20pts for 1st >>> down to 1pts for 18th at the moment so way too many points when we have about 8 people per round. so will re-do it as a top 10 points system.

- Shorten the rounds, will try make all the races finish by 10pm NZST so maybe just 2 race's per night.

We can update the server config file to turn Force Cockpit View off since we seem to always want custom views anyway.

Objections?

doesnt bother me, i always use cockpit view anyway

Also on the points changes tbh i think thatll be better but should fast laps in the race really be worth more then pole? though thats just my opinion and im not anyone special here so ignore me if you want to :D
Will the points system change affect all the previous rounds too?

I would have thought that Pole would be worth more, and that fastest lap was a token point or two for bragging rights more than anything. What has happened in the last series is that someone (me included) has recieved 5 points for a fast lap, but come dead last, which would make the guy in 2nd place pretty p-o'd. Let's limit fastest lap to 1 point and gratz him over Mumble.

I agree krayy. Fastest lap is good for those who arent running in front but still have space . At the end of the day its whos over the finish line first i suppose

oh i get it .didnt check after the start to see if fcv had changed
but noticed at the start of race 2 it was allowed again
so yeah done the first race with no line..bit of a wake up call
as my only braking marker dissapeared
so did set up for this week with out raceline
and decided to continue come race time ..was good fun

+ 1 to every think said about poles/points
what r/l racing series awards points to fastest lap?
its bad enought racing with aliens let alone rewarding
them excessively for perfect laps

still a noble feat and worth points ....just less
