I was on lfs this week abit but was practcing lx4 then I realised cant make that round....kinda forgot about this as well lol....qual will be my practice wooooo!
Should be a bit of fun. I wonder how the tyres will fear....this track can be really bad on them with all its tarmac.

Now that race was a bit of fun. Took the first race to get my legs and then had a great battle with Tiptop until his "that'll buff right out" moment on the last lap.
Is was a small turnout, but a quality one

Re: MAY MAYHEM - ROUND 3 THURSDAY 19th MAY - XRG @ FE5
Ive decided I hate rallyx. It doesnt follow the same rules of being fast as tarmac does. Weird lines, and sawing away at the steering wheel seem to get you faster times one lap, and then the next lap, seemingly doing exactly the same thing sees you 3 seconds slower, grrr. I actually found more speed in race two of this round by reducing the force feedback on my wheel!
I also always seem to lose out massively when the field closes up. I give room, avoid contact, and end up at the back. Its not that anyone else is being overly aggressive, its just im not aggressive or experienced enough to position myself in a way that avoids the contact or uses it to my own advantage in the first place.
In reality its probably just lack of experience on this track, this car, and Rallyx in general... still doesnt stop me hating it though.

Re: MAY MAYHEM - ROUND 3 THURSDAY 19th MAY - XRG @ FE5
im with you 100% dyno. i think i got 2 very lucky 3rd especially the 2nd one with tiptop's ambitious driving technique lol. But i just have never been able to wrap my head around this rallyx stuff and because i cant i hate it. I really enjoy watching WRC and wish i could have a go at rally in real life though as i think even the drivers who are down the back of wrc are still some of the best car controllers in the world but the methods of going fast boggle my mind. Like with that hairpin i was taking the traditional outside-inside-outside line which in tarmac driving would be acceptable but one i followed everyone around for a lap or 2 i saw i was doing it very wrong which also wrecked my entry to the next corner.
Bit of a shame about the turnout though it was a very high quality turnout and im kinda glad there wasnt more people there to beat me. Anyway TARMAC4LIFE!! Bring on the asphalt again

yea small turn out but good fun, was surpised to get 1st in race 2 when tiptop was so fast in race1, i think he just got caught in battles with others and couldnt get a rhythm going. Was fun having a bash around rally in RWD for a change as well.
no more rally in May Mayhem....I promise

Dont think we will catch wildboy with 2 tarmac rounds left.
but this week is the endurance round with some big points of offer so a change to close the gap!
ROUND 4
