New Series 2012 - Your input required
Hey guys,
I want to kick start 2012 with a new series for LFS. It's been some time now and I think there's some of you who are keen.
So, I need your input as I am no good when it comes to track car/combos. What would you like to race?
I would like for this series to start on May 10th and it will run for say 4 weeks. We'll keep it on the same night on Thursdays around 8pm and all our servers will be up and available for all.
Thanks,
STEALA

Let's ease back into it with a Mini series. Run it on some short and long tracks with final round an enduro at Westhill with double points.
And everyone runs stock setup with no customisation

Sounds good, Maybe the odd ball car (UF1000) ?? as then you can get the small tracks going with alot of fun and drama.
The UF1000 is fun and it's all about the line with these. (E.G. Kyoto Oval)

Yeah sounds good guys, short, fun, intense is deffinatly the way to go, also a good way to bring back race craft, shame im normally busy on thursday nights though after 7pm our time so i might be able to get the first hour in of racing. I think aston cadet or club, fern bay club, south city sprint 2 and maybe a small config of blackwood that incorporates the usual turn 1 and dirt section to put a bit of rally x in like the attached picture, not sure how the start would work though its been a while since i played with open configs.
As for cars i think xfg , ufr,fbm and lx4. Fbm at aston, lx4 at fern bay, ufr at south city and the xfg at blackwood config or something else that incorporates a bit of dirt but not too much.
Hows that sound?? Dont be afraid to tell me if you think that idea sucks, not even im good enough (i am close though) to come up with something everyone likes
EDIT: Oh yeah all will be running stock setups
or atleast a control setup, as in one that everyone picks and we all use that from like setup grid or something
EDIT 2: Re read the posts again and decided to add Krayys idea of westhill enduro at the end with maybe the XRT or the FXO even but not together cause FXO is a bit too quick i think

I like the idea of a series of short sprints. I also like the fixed (stock) setup idea, and using the lower powered cars. Not too sure about the UF1 at Kyoto as its too easy to get left behind if you make one single error, which makes the rest of the race dull as dishwater.

Race 2: South City Sprint 2, XFG, 10 laps
Race 3: South City Sprint 2, XFG, 10 laps, Reverse grid

Re: New Series 2012 - Your input required
Sounds good mate, few things need to be sorted out such as qualifying style, or maybe random grid to mix it up even more? Stock setup meaning the default set with the exception of rally round which would run default rally setup? Points system? Thats all my questions i can think of right now, will add anything else i think of tommorow when im actually awake.
Also Steala you should send out a mass pm mate try and drum up some more interest.
Looking foward to this though ill miss probably half of round 2 and 4, very overdue for me to do some racing
