Re: [LFSNZ]WORLD SERIES Discussion
experimented with another tyre, solves the 4 wheel off road issue but proably too late to put it on now as it changes that corner quite a bit and people will have practiced without it.
Not sure what if I should add it or not now, if we leave it as is it will be even for all cutting that corner will be allowed. otherwise we put a extra tyre stack in...what do you all think?

True, If you go over you chance damage, If you do the track correctly then it maybe a little slower, But over all you should end up racing the way it should be runmik641 wrote:leave it how it is.. thats the fault of the lfs devs.

An extra tyre bale doesnt change the corner at all. The corner is the black part on the right
If people are used to not having to negotiate the corner properly, then it might make a difference. I cant imagine any damage being generated by hopping that small curb. Ive certainly not experienced anything significant.
I can imagine fastest qualy and in race lap times will involve all four wheels off the tarmac on that corner, and im not sure thats the way it should be, but I suppose if everyone has a level playing field, and there are no penalties for anyone for going off road, then alls fair

Re: [LFSNZ]WORLD SERIES Discussion
I'd say it's more of a personal choice, If you can doit in a hotlap without getting a "invalid" then all good.
Look at Blackwood rally track, How many go onto the grass on the back straight for the corner (which is "Invalid") But think thats fine.
It's a personal choice to cheat or not to cheat. IMHO

I think as Swivel says, if the line you take would make a hotlap invalid, then its pretty much cheating. If you can run that line with a couple of wheels in the dirt and not invalidate a hotlap, go for it I say.

Re: [LFSNZ]WORLD SERIES Discussion
Hmmm...this is a bit of a hot topic but there are pros and cons to it.
This corner is one of very few in LFS that be used to a significant advantage, as you will carry the speed right onto the front straight. The thing is that you need to almost clip the tyres on the left to do it right. problem is that sometimes, if you get the left hander coming into it wrong by mistake, even when not trying to cut the corner, you can go through those tyres quite as a legitimate error. if you put an object behind the tyres to stop corner cutting, then someone (me) who has just lost concentration and has gone through the tyres will hit it and possibly cause severe damage.
That being said, who here has never cut the chicanes at the start of the back straight on WE1, or cut the first chicane at KY2?
The LFS devs gave the opportunity for thos ewho want to take the risk to try it, and to this end, I say leave it as is.
(that being said, there is an update coming to Lapper where we will be able to detect if someone has gone offroad, and then penalise them, but thats a few months off)

Re: [LFSNZ]WORLD SERIES Discussion
yea if lfs devs have allowd it and its even for all so its part of the character of the track. There is a bit of risk taking it as well.
also Reset penalties will be on, krayy has allowed 1 free reset on lap 1 then Drive through penalty after that.
