CAR RESETS DURING RACING? NEED YOUR VOTE!

Postby KWAK » Sun Jul 05, 2009 8:43 am

AS YOU MAY KNOW FROM RACING OR FROM READING ON FORUM, THE TOPIC OF "RESET" BEING ON IS IN DISCUSSION. WE ARE LEARNING AND TRYING TO MAKE http://WWW.LFSNZ.COM RACING AND FUN FOR EVERYONE INVOLVED. WE HAVE DISCUSSED THE ISSUE OF "RACE RESTARTING" AND WILL SET SOME GUIDELINES IN CONCRETE REGARDING THIS. SO THE NEXT STEP TO DISCUSS IS ABOUT "RESET" ON OR OFF?. WE WANT TO MAKE IT AS FAIR AS POSSIBLE FOR ALL INVOLVED BUT, BE ABLE TO HAVE GOOD, FUN, CLEAN AND ENJOYABLE COMPETITIVE AND LEISURE RACING.

PLEASE VOTE AND SHARE YOUR OPINIONS.

POLL ENDS WEDNESDAY 8th JULY 2009 AT 10:00pm.

THANK YOU, LFSNZ ADMIN TEAM.

There is a penalty using reset anyway you have to be stopped with no cars around that might cause a yellow, i know some tracks its easier to reset in slower sections like kronik has said (that last south city track is a good example)

20 sec penalty could work maybe even a 10 sec with the added disadvantages of what you have to do to perform a reset. and it allows people to keep racing.

The types of penalties available in InSim apps (LFSLapper in our case) is:

PENALTY_DT (Drive Through)
PENALTY_SG (Stop/Go)
PENALTY_30 (30 Secs)
PENALTY_45 (45 Secs)

Also, we could make it so you can set a number of allowable resets per race (2 for sprints, up to 5 maybe for enduros), so pls put that in your posts as well.

I voted there should be a penalty, but think a stop go is a bit sever, a drive through would be a better option I think. Stop go would completely destroy your race.

I too think a drive through is also more sufficient than a stop go.
