Re: NEW SERIES ???

Postby 4aged » Thu Aug 26, 2010 9:38 am

Just trying to work out how to add some weights for round 1...any other ideas?? i could work out a ranking from past results like i did for round 1 in the LX4 series.

The qual weight idea would only be for round 1 and max anyone could have would be 30kg. The other rounds weight would be added after the rounds.

not too sure what lfs calculates 1 litre of fuel as,

IRL 1L of petrol is 700g and FOX has 38Litre tank so full tank weights about 26kg which is alot lighter than I thought.

another idea to do a seeding session in a server over the weekend say Sat --- Monday night to see who starts on what weight? use !top fox command to see final results.

Would have to give some points as an incentive to go fast :)

did some laps at AS1 , pretty hard to go fast! sly thorns and steala lots quicker than me. might be my set / probably just my driving. fun as though!

braking points are hard to get right!! especially at T2 and 3 section.

The green line brake points are pretty conservative so have to overshoot them a bit.

anyhoo keen to kick off this Thursday but looks like I cant make it :( work has this movie thing thats been planned for a while on that night (The Expendables)

just need to decided how we do weights for round 1....its either 15KG for all or I work out a seeding from past series and give you a starting weight - could probably have this done by tonight.

I think the easiest way is 15kg for all to start, and then just run the handicapping system from there, so + or - depending on your finish place (DNF's do not count as last). That way there should always be some people with low weights, 1 or 2 with little to no weight and Sly with 90kilos or so ;-)
I'm a Logitech G-Man!! G15, G25, G35, G500...

yep all on 15kg is the simplest way. yea DNF is a N/C for the next round.

And remeber Qualifying is 1 flying lap! Max 3 cars on track at once.
