Kingston HyperX T1 Black Series 8GB Dual Channel kit 2x 4GB PC14900 DDR3 (1866Mhz) Memory CL9 (KHX1866C9D3T1BK2/8GX) $108

Hey man wow that system has done you well lol. I do remember sending you some component for it but cant remember what it was....no surprise there though bahaha.
This setup you have listed leads me to believe we have a budget of $740+psu to work with so I've had a wee look at it and from benchmark figures you could do a bit better bang for buck wise but for the same money even from Paradigm.
Also on your video card you could probably do with something alot cheaper depending on the games you play or want to play, possibly even something second hand? (let someone else take the fall) There are a couple of ATI 6970's on trademe going for half of what I paid 11months ago. Also the video card you need is dependent on what it needs to do for you eg 3 screens and what resolutions, is dual link dvi enough for your next screen upgrade or do you need display port?

AMD FX6100 Black Edition Bulldozer 3.3GHz 14MB Cache Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor
FD6100WMGUSBX

ASUS M5A97 EVO AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Sandy Bridge Optimized F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL

MSI nVidia GeForce GTX560 N560GTX-M2D1GD5 1GB PCI-Express Video Card *Dual DVI *mini-HDMI

$742

I have never had a failure with corsair psu's so I am slightly biased towards them and currently run a TX650w puppy.

Note: Make sure your case has plenty of room for air movement

Hope thats helped a little bro ;) ;)

haha yeah this old thing has a spot reserved for it at the museum. it was a graphics card you sent me KK. thanks again :)

you have there listed a 6 core cpu with 3.3 Ghz, im showing my noobness here and i dont care, i thought 4.2 GHz would have more grunt playing a game if im not doing heaps of other shit in the background?

im using my 32 inch panasonic viera TV as my screen and im happy enough using that so i dont need a 3 screen graphics card or those other things that succeded in confusing me. http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu.p ... on+HD+6850 that page shows the 6850 just above the gtx560 and the 6850 is the leader on the bang for buck catagory. (all the red lines on my screen means my spelling sucks) $300 for a used leading graphics card does seem like a good idea tho.(both on trademe have been overclocked, is that bad?)

the mobo means nothing to me really as long as all the bits glue together and it has 4 ram slots and its a full size ATX i think. ??

Check this out as far as actual benchmarking on real games go this is where my opinion is based dude,

http://www.tomshardware.com/charts/2012 ... .html?prod

by checking the boxes as you wish and choose compare

and here

http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/gpu_list.php

Either of those 2 will run your 32 inch just fine as it will max out at 1920x1080 resolution anyhow.

Another good site for benching is this one http://www.anandtech.com/bench

Id throw my 2 cents in now but got a big headache so all i say is this, you might want to wait a little bit longer for the GTX 660ti's to come out and compare with bang for your buck cause from what im hearing its more then 580 performance for the cost of a 560

ok, i started with spending 900 in mind, then 1000 and guess what? im now thinking of spending 1400 lol. here is what i am now thinking.
FX 6200 3.8 GHz 6 core,
ASUS M5A97 EVO ATX mobo,
MSI R7870 Twin Frozr 2GD5/OC Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 Video Card,
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800),
COOLER MASTER Extreme 2 RS-725-PCAR 725W Power Supply,
and a $99 case http://www.playtech.co.nz/afawcs0139235 ... tails.html

the total of all these bits add up to $1400 even from playtech.co.nz (with free postage lol)

there are systems on trademe with similar specs but i would imagine they are using the cheaper 7870 GPU's, mobo's etc

Haha, good stuff kiwi! I remember upgrading last year, and that was the first time in like 8 years! The improvement is ridiculous haha.

I'm sure you'll enjoy the pc now. Last thing left is triple monitors :P
