I was talking about this with kk, and he said for me to try and get my speeds up, try to disconnect things like sky tv( if hooked to your phone line) and cordless phones.

We have a dedicated internet line and a dedi phone line so maybe if it stays the same, either change provider or get a sparky to check or upgrade the wiring in your house?

Check with your landlord to see if any previous had problems with internet?

Err sort of lol, these suggestions were to check that nothing else on the line was impairing the speed of your connection so you can get a true speed test result so yes it is an easy way of checking for any line noise caused by faulty filters etc.

Not exactly that easy to assume dude, in the routers webpage somewhere it should tell what your lines attainable speed is, have you seen this? If it is much higher than your actual then chances are its you isp. They can request that telecom do these tests for you actually mate, hope it helps but lovin the extra place and points I'm getting without you about lol....jokes man I feel your pain

do you know how to get to your routers web console?

i googled your router and i think if you type in a brower 192.168.1.1 user- admin pasword -admin > look under advanced menu see whats in there.

look for things like speed, line noise, attenuation etc... - post here if you find anything and we mightbe able to dychper some of it. im not sure what is normal, on cable so cant check what mine are.

Well not being an expert mate but if these are your lines attainable speeds (Max. Bandwidth Down/Up(kbps) 3016 / 64
Bandwidth Down/Up(kbps) 2503 / 64) then the problem is not the line, it would be you isp imho....
