Free Anti-Virus Software

Which is the best to use, ive heard the likes of avast and avira is it? AVG aswell.

What do you use/what would you reccommend?

Have norton 360 at present but just expired..

At the shop, I use AVG and MSE (Microsoft Security Essentials), Both free.

I use Avast 5 - have recommended this to many.

I've heard Avira being good too, but never tried it.

yea need to sort a AV on my new pc too will try Avast5...isnt that your dodgy copy steala lol! will look into that MSSE too sounds tantilising.

Even though MSE is from Microsoft,It's got good results in tests, It's up in the top 5 most times.

uses very little ram as well.

Worth a try.

yea i did a google and looked pretty good in tests vs other commercial products, will try it when i get home :)

I use Avria which works very well, except that you need to do a mod to disable the updater pop-ups. After that it's fine.
