Ok, I remeber couple of weeks back we had a discussion on Vent about sound. Now the question I put to some of ya's was.....

I have vent going and LFS for example going. I would like the sounds of LFS to come out of Speakers and the sound of your Girly voices on Vent to come out of my headset. now..... some of ya's said that possiably two sounds cards would be maybe away around doing this. Welllllllllllll.........................

I have been thinking.............. If I used a USB headset for Vent and a Headphone audio cable for LFS to stereo, would this solve it? hmmm..

Does anyone have a usb headset? and have audio out thru normal plug?

Can you route certain sounds to go through separate channels? That would be your first question.

My answer would be - I've never heard of such function to do so...

well... my thoughts were that Vent could be sent to usb port audio and lfs could be sent to audio out port (headphone port)

From what I read dude you would need a separate soundcard (Note:also one compatible with vista as alot aren't)

tried with a soundcard added with my onboard but they kept on clashing, onboard had to be off in the bios for the card to work and vice versa, what would be great would to be able to channel game thru back panel audio connectors and front panel for vent (headphone socket) only.

Tested this option yesterday as a matter of interest for Kwak on my system which only has onboard sound. Works exactly as you describe here PB.
